Why/how can icons be used to communicate?
Icons are used to explain a larger product (such as a website) and tell what it is (ex. twitter, facebook, hospital, etc.) through a small, simple, recognizable image.
Via the internet, find 2 examples of common icons that clearly communicate their message. Post both in this entry.
What is the difference between copyright and public domain?
A copy right is protected and unusable without permission from its owner. Public domain is open to anyone to use without the requirement of permission.
How can you avoid plagiarism in this class? In other classes?
In this class, to avoid plagiarism you have to be aware of what images you are using (try if possible to use your own when allowed) and change things around when you can. In other classes, to avoid plagiarism you can paraphrase or cite something exactly and give credit to the author.
